Less than 15 minutes ago, UberMedia tweeted
Great news! Twitter has approved our changes, and we expect to provide a new version in about an hour.
That means all you blackberry addicts (and @UberSoc is being followed by more than 2.5 million of you) may be back to normal this evening. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more!
If possible, the news for users of UberMedia client apps keeps getting better. According to Twitter support access has once again been granted to both TwiDroyd and UberSocial.
We’ve given the developers of twidroyd and UberSocial for Blackberry (formerly UberTwitter) access to the Twitter API again. Our initial review indicates that steps have been taken to remedy the violations for these applications.
When the developer updates twidroyd and Ubersocial, you’ll be able to download their updates to access Tweets again on these applications.
The ball is back in UberMedia’s hands as the company’s developers need to provide a new version, with the approved fixes, for customers to download. As noted about UberSocial was hoping to get a new version out to customers in about an hour. That deadline has come and gone, but at least things appear to be moving in the right direction.
It appears both UberSocial and Twidroyd are back online, as of last night. Users will need to download the “fixed” versions from the UberMedia in order to tweet but then they are good to go!
