Open beta testing has begun for the Chinese expansion pack (EP) Edge of Night, the newest addition to NetDragon’s flagship online games Eudemons Online. The English version of the EP is expected to be released in July 2011.
The fifth EP for the popular Eudemons MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game), Edge of Night introduces a mysterious “vampire” class into this Western fantasy world. The new class provides veteran Eudemons Online campaigners with new and additional options as well as attract new players captivated by vampire lore. Not details on whether the EP vampires are based on Eastern or Western vampire traditions.
What is known is that the new EP highlights a variety of exclusive skills, powerful weapons and featured pets for the Vampire class which will collectively help kick off a new era for online games. Edge of Night is the result of two years’ for development effort. Designed to fully reflect players’ expectations for the quality and content of this title and Eudemons Online which was first introduced in 2006. Previous Eudemons Online expansion packs include: The War of Armies (2007), Ruler of the World (2007) and The Wings of the Ruler (2008). Supernatural beings were first introduced into the Eudemons Online world with The Wings of the Ruler EP.

The cooperation agreement announced at the Global Mobile Internet Conference in Beijing in April involves sharing mobile game development resources and distribution platforms. DeNA will build a Mobage community for NetDragon’s 91Game platform that will include games developed by DeNA and other Content providers. For its part, NetDragon will use DeNA’s Ngcore engine to develop games which will be incorporated into Mobage, Japan’s leading mobile social networking platform.
