The National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s (NCTA) 60th Annual Convention and International Exposition taking place in Chicago, IL June 14 – 16, 2011, isn’t all about business. Some of it might be fun, too, especially if you’re a fan of Torchwood or the SyFy Channel’s Ghost Hunters.
Attendees will find Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles), Esther Drummond (Alexa Havins) and Dr. Vera Juarez (Arlene Tur) at the Starz Entertainment booth (1919) on Tuesday, 14 June 2011. This might be a great opportunity to catch some spoilers or even just hints about the upcoming Torchwood: Miracle Day series ahead of the 8 July, 2011 premiere. Not much is known yet about Drummond and Cruz however Gwen disappeared (with husband Rhys and their child) after Torchwood was destroyed in Children of Earth: Day Two. Find the three lovely ladies of Torchwood: Miracle Day at the Starz booth between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. local time.
Start Wednesday off right at The Cable Show with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson from SyFy’s Ghost Hunters. Plumbers Jason Hawes and Grant Wlson founded TAPS, as The Atlantic Paranormal Society is known, in the same small community in Rhode Island where many team members were born and raised. The two have been friends for a decade and it shows in their interactions onscreen and off. Ghost Hunters is a hour-long reality drama that airs weekly. It first aired in 2004. The series is currently on hiatus. New episodes return to SyFy, a division of NBC Universal, on 24 August, 2011. Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson will spend just 30 minutes (11:15 – 11:45 a.m. local time) at the NBCU booth 201 (Stage 1) .
Camelot’s Kay (Peter Mooney) and Brastias (Diarmaid Murtagh) will enter the modern world to be at the Starz Booth 1919 on Wednesday afternoon 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Kay is Arthur’s adopted brother and confidant. Brastias is one of Arthur’s knights. Camelot may not be familiar to many people as the series just premiered in April 2011.
